The price on the quote is the total price. There is no VAT. If there is a delivery cost it will be on the quote. The price includes setting up and taking away the marquee.

It is normally a full day’s work to put a marquee up, depending on size. Allow five to eight hours.

We normally put marquees up on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, take down on Monday or Tuesday. When you book we ask you which of these days you prefer and if available, book you in on that day. Later you leave booking the less choice you may have on these days depending on other bookings we may have that week. Set up/take down days outside of these can be arranged along with longer hire periods if needed. Contact us to discuss further.

Once you have contacted us we would normally send you a detailed itemised quote of your marquee and equipment. Once you have a quote you are happy to proceed with contact us first so we can reserve the marquee for you. To confirm the booking we need a 20% deposit, payable by BACS or Cheque, the amount and our bank details will be on the quote. Once we have received your deposit we will send you a booking confirmation.

Yes – we are happy to adjust your order for the marquee and equipment up or down, add and remove items as required right up to the day before we set up your marquee. All adjustments are of course subject to availability and certain items we do hire in which if cancelled may incur a charge. Bottom line – the sooner you let us know the easier it is to accommodate your changes to the order.

Changing the date of the event can be more of a problem – we will happily do this if we have availability, but if we don’t then we would have to cancel your event forfeiting your deposit.

Once the deposit has been paid, you don’t need to pay the balance until the set up day by either BACS, Cheque or Cash – basically providing we have payment by the time we leave the site we are happy.

Yes – we are happy to try and arrange a suitable day/time for you to view your marquee (or one similar) with you. Although bear in mind that out of season we probably wont have a marquee up anywhere to view and during our busy summer period there will be limited times available.

Yes – We are more than happy for you to decorate your marquee as you wish to add your personal touches. Do contact us for advice/practicality on what might work. We don’t install your decorations as part of our service but may be able to help on a goodwill basis on the day. Avoid suspending anything of weight in the marquee and any items that can leak dye onto the canopy please.

McNaughton marquees will take responsibility for any storm/weather damage. However your are responsible for any damage to the marquee you make or for any missing items, Wedding insurance can be obtained to cover this if needed although we find normal use of equipment and you should be fine. Spillages of food/drink on the matting/walls is fine – we expect to clean items for each use.

If you have to cancel your booking then unfortunately you will forfeit your deposit. Cancellation within 7 days of the event will incur then full cost of the order.

Under certain circumstances we can carry forward your deposit to a future event if you need to re-schedule.

Yes – if you are a regular customer we are happy to invoice you after the event payment within 30 days or as otherwise agreed.

In short – yes! All our marquees come with windows/walling as part of the package but these can be either left out by us on set up day or removed/re-attached by you on the day of the event as weather allows.
